You are a member of an International Students' club. The club is organising an event to celebrate popular food from around the world.

Write a letter to the event organiser, Luis. In your letter

• offer to make a popular dish from your country
• describe what this dish is
• explain why it should be included in the event

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Student answer (Band 7.0)

Dear Luis,

I hope you are doing well.

I am writinng this letter to inform you about the dish that I will bring for the upcoming event where we celebrate popular food from around the world. I am excited to inform you that I will be bringing "Fafda-Jalebi" - which is a very famous dish of my culture.

"Fafda-Jalebi" consists of two different food items "Fafda" and "Jalebi". out of which , "Fafda" is an savoury item and "Jalebi" is sweet. It is an Ideal dish for breakfast and all of us can enjoy it with a cup of tea.

I am aware that all of the other members are bringing food of their culture for lunch and dessert, Hence, I thought I should bring something for snack/ breakfast that we can enjoy during huddle before event along with hot tea.

If you like my idea and if you want me to bring "Fafda-Jalebi" to the event, Please let me know by the end of the week.
