You are a member of an International Students' club. The club is organising an event to celebrate popular food from around the world.

Write a letter to the event organiser, Luis. In your letter

• offer to make a popular dish from your country
• describe what this dish is
• explain why it should be included in the event

Dear Luis,

I would like to inform you that I am also a member of the club event, and I would like to suggest adding a popular dish from our country to the event. Through this, we can represent our culture and make our country and community feel proud. We could also create a separate section for this dish.

The dish I would like to suggest is rasmalai, which is a traditional Indian sweet. It can be served as a dessert after lunch or dinner. The main ingredients are milk, condensed milk, saffron (kesar), and dry fruits. It is also relatively simple to prepare.

I believe rasmalai should be included in the event because I have seen the lists of other stalls, and most of them are preparing sour, salty, or spicy dishes. Including a sweet dish would add more variety to the event, and I think everyone would enjoy trying it. It would also give us an opportunity to introduce our traditional food to people from other communities.

Considering all these points, I kindly request you to consider my suggestion and give us an opportunity to represent our traditional dish at the event.
