You are a member of an International Students' club. The club is organising an event to celebrate popular food from around the world.

Write a letter to the event organiser, Luis. In your letter

• offer to make a popular dish from your country
• describe what this dish is
• explain why it should be included in the event

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Begin your letter as follows:

Dear Luis,

Student answer (Band 6.0)

I am writing this letter to give you some information on what kind of food I am going to prepare if my dish gets selected along with that I will provide a reason why it should be included in the event.

To begin with, I would like to make one of the most rated dish from my country which is Gulab Jamun, it is a sweet dish along with that, it is mainly eaten during festivals and on happy occasions.

It is an easy procedure with minimal ingredients first, mix the all purpose flour with tofu and milk and make a dough rest it for 10 minutes. Secondly, roll it in ball shape and deep fry it meanwhile, make a slurry of warm water and sugar. After frying deep the balls immediately into the slurry. It can be served hot and cold with ice cream or can be eaten as it is.

I believe this dish should be included because it will give people options to either have a cold or hot dessert.
