IELTS Writing Task 1 question

You are a member of an International Students' club. The club is organising an event to celebrate popular food from around the world.

Write a letter to the event organiser, Luis. In your letter

• offer to make a popular dish from your country
• describe what this dish is
• explain why it should be included in the event

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Dear Luis,

I hope you are doing well. My name is Vincent Elipe and I am a member of an international student's club. I am writing to formally suggest an offer that I will create a popular dish for my country this upcoming event of our club.

The dish that I am planning to prepare on that day should be called "Adobong Chicken" which is a chicken stew that is made from Philippines. This dish is made from chicken, vinegar, onion and garlic, soy sauce and bay leaf.

Given the circumstances, I believe that this filipino dish called "Adobong Chicken" is ideal for the event because this is very popular in my country and well know in different part of the world such as America,Canada and UK.

I hope that you going to consider this offer, and please let me know if there is any information that you need.
