You are a member of an International Students' club. The club is organising an event to celebrate popular food from around the world.

Write a letter to the event organiser, Luis. In your letter

• offer to make a popular dish from your country
• describe what this dish is
• explain why it should be included in the event

Dear Club Organiser,

I writing to offer my assistance with the upcoming international food event. I would be delighted to prepare dish from my country, India, which i believe would be an excellent addition to the celebration.

I would like to make vegetable biryani, a fragrant and colourful rice dish that is widely enjoyed across india. It is prepared by cooking basamti rice with a varitey of vegetables, aromatic spices, herbs and saffron. The combination of flavours and textures makes it both delicious and visually appealing. Moreover, it can easily be adapted to suit people with different dietary preference, including vegetarians.

I believe this dish should be included because indian cuisine is renowned for its rich flavours and diverse use of spices. More impotantly, serving biryani would give international students an opportunity to experience an authentic insian meal and learn about the country's culinary traditions. I would also be happy to explain the ingredients and cooking process to other club members during the event.

I hope you will consider my suggestion. I am confident that vegetables biryani would be a popular choice among students from different cultural backgrouns.
