Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

You have addressed all three bullet points of the task. You offered to make a dish, described it, and explained why it should be included. However, the development of your ideas is somewhat inconsistent. For instance, your description of the dish is confusing, as you mention 'beaf' and 'chicken' in dal, which is traditionally a lentil-based vegetarian dish. This inaccuracy impacts the clarity of your response. While you have covered the requirements, the content lacks the precision expected for a higher band score. To improve, ensure your descriptions are accurate and provide more focused, logical reasons for your suggestions.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The letter is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your structure. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Firstly', 'Moreover', and 'Additionally'. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly unnatural, such as 'I am glad to say that it is delicious' or 'Indeed, i would say that you should try this dish'. The progression of ideas is generally clear, but the flow between sentences could be smoother. The referencing is occasionally unclear, particularly when discussing the ingredients of the dish.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

Your vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks variety and precision. There are several spelling errors, such as 'ingreindts' (ingredients), 'serials' (cereals), 'beaf' (beef), and 'spicey' (spicy). Additionally, there are word choice issues, such as 'all rounder dish' and 'popular dishes of internationally'. You rely on basic vocabulary and struggle to use less common items accurately. To reach a higher band, you should focus on correct spelling and using more precise collocations to describe food and cultural traditions.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You use a mix of simple and some complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Examples include 'all religion people has there own style' (all people of different religions have their own style), 'some makes spicey' (some make it spicy), and 'this is the my country India's favorite dish'. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage and the frequent misuse of 'i' instead of the capital 'I'. These errors are noticeable and occasionally distract the reader, though they do not completely impede communication.
