Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0
You have successfully addressed all three bullet points in the prompt. You offered to make a dish, described it clearly, and provided a logical reason for its inclusion. The tone is appropriate for a letter to an event organiser. However, the development of your ideas is somewhat limited; for instance, the explanation of why the dish should be included could be more persuasive by focusing on its cultural significance or popularity rather than just stating that 'every community likes it'. Overall, you have fulfilled the requirements of the task effectively.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The letter is logically organised with a clear introduction, body, and conclusion. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'Moreover', 'Although', 'Furthermore', and 'Thus' to link your ideas. While the progression of ideas is generally clear, some transitions feel slightly mechanical. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the different points of the letter. To improve, you could vary your linking words and ensure that the flow between sentences is more natural, as some connections feel a bit abrupt.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, including words like 'multifarious', 'renowned', and 'fragrance'. There are some minor errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'event is helding' (should be 'being held') and 'every community like it' (should be 'likes it'). You also use 'conveniently prepare' instead of the correct passive form 'conveniently prepared'. While these errors do not impede communication, they indicate a need for more precise control over word forms and collocations to reach a higher band.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are several grammatical inaccuracies throughout the text. For example, 'I would suggest you to also introduce' is grammatically incorrect (should be 'I would suggest introducing' or 'I suggest that you introduce'). There is also a misuse of 'although' in 'Although there are multifarious dishes, but...', where the 'but' is redundant. Additionally, 'I would be appreciate' should be 'I would appreciate'. These errors occur frequently, though they do not prevent the reader from understanding your message.
