Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

You have addressed all three bullet points in the prompt. You offered to make a dish, described the burrito bowl, and explained why it should be included. However, the tone is somewhat confused; you seem to be asking Luis to bring a dish rather than offering your own, which creates a slight contradiction in the task fulfillment. Additionally, the explanation for why the dish should be included is a bit repetitive and lacks clarity. To improve, ensure your role as the contributor is clearly defined and that your arguments for the dish's inclusion are more logically structured and persuasive.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The letter is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the flow between sentences is often mechanical. You rely on basic transitions like 'Apart from that' and 'You know', which can feel repetitive. Some sentences are run-on or lack clear logical connectors, such as in the second paragraph where the description of the burrito bowl becomes a bit disjointed. Using a wider variety of cohesive devices, such as 'consequently', 'furthermore', or 'in addition', would help the ideas transition more smoothly and improve the overall logical progression of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

Your vocabulary is adequate for the task, but it is somewhat limited and occasionally imprecise. For example, describing the dish as 'adorable' is not a standard collocation for food; 'appetizing' or 'appealing' would be more appropriate. You also use 'mostly people' instead of 'most people' and 'full protien food' instead of 'protein-rich'. While you successfully convey your meaning, there is a lack of flexibility and precision. To reach a higher band, focus on using more natural collocations and a wider range of descriptive adjectives related to food and events.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the letter, particularly with article usage ('the event will be organized an which is celebrate'), verb forms ('mostly people prefer'), and sentence structure. Many sentences are awkward, such as 'I am writing this letter to you about event will be organized'. While the meaning is generally clear, these errors are noticeable and require the reader to re-read certain parts. You should focus on subject-verb agreement, correct preposition usage, and ensuring that your complex sentences are constructed accurately to avoid these persistent errors.
