I am willing to make an offer to add one of the popular dish from my country which is pasta an original recipe from Italy. This dish consist of two main ingredients which are pasta and different types of sauce and it can be maid easily without putting more efforts, and adding different flavors is also optional people can customize it according to their preference.

I did notice that we are serving many Italian dish like pizza, bruschetta and croissant. But pasta would also be an great option which can blend with this popular dishes.

I hope you would like this suggestion and take into consideration by adding this dish on the event day.

Looking forward to hearing from you soon.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

You have addressed all three bullet points of the task: offering to make a dish, describing it, and explaining why it should be included. The tone is appropriate for a letter to an event organiser. However, the development of your ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the description of pasta as 'two main ingredients' is quite simplistic, and the explanation for why it should be included is slightly contradictory, as you mention that other Italian dishes are already being served. To reach a higher band, try to provide more descriptive detail about the dish's cultural significance or specific appeal to the attendees.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The letter follows a logical structure with a clear opening and closing. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'which is', 'but', and 'I hope'. However, the paragraphing is not fully developed; the body of the letter is essentially one long paragraph, which makes it harder to follow. Using clear paragraph breaks for each bullet point would improve the flow. Additionally, some transitions between sentences feel a bit mechanical, such as the jump from describing the dish to mentioning other Italian dishes already on the menu.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You have an adequate range of vocabulary to communicate your ideas clearly. You use some relevant terms like 'recipe', 'ingredients', and 'preference'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'make an offer to add' (instead of 'offer to prepare') and 'putting more efforts' (instead of 'much effort'). There are also minor errors like 'maid' instead of 'made'. To improve, focus on using more precise collocations and ensuring correct word forms.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are several grammatical errors. For example, 'one of the popular dish' should be 'one of the popular dishes', and 'an great option' should be 'a great option'. There are also issues with subject-verb agreement and article usage. While these errors do not prevent communication, they occur frequently enough to impact the overall fluency of the text. Focusing on proofreading for basic agreement and article errors will help improve your score.
