You are a member of an International Students' club. The club is organising an event to celebrate popular food from around the world.

Write a letter to the event organiser, Luis. In your letter

• offer to make a popular dish from your country
• describe what this dish is
• explain why it should be included in the event

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Begin your letter as follows:

Student answer (Band 6.5)

Dear Luis,

I hope you are doing well. I am writing concerning the recent food event in our college. If you have any empty stall, I would love to prepare a popular sweet dish from India.

Our college's student community is significantly diverse and we have food items from different parts of the world. I have notice that most of the cuisines are spicy or tangy such as pizza, pasta, and butter chicken. Although, we have so many Indian food stalls, surprisingly non of them are offering a sweet dish.

So, I would like to offer something, that we can enjoy after trying all the spicy cuisines from event and I came up with the idea of 'Rasmalai'. This dish is originated from north india and prepared sugar, condense milk and whole wheat flour. It is little sweet in taste and slimy in texture. It almost take 12 hours of preparation to make it perfectly. At the end, we can also add some dry fruits to enhance the taste.
