You are a member of an International Students' club. The club is organising an event to celebrate popular food from around the world.

Write a letter to the event organiser, Luis. In your letter

• offer to make a popular dish from your country
• describe what this dish is
• explain why it should be included in the event

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Begin your letter as follows:

Dear Luis,

I’m writing to offer to make a popular dish from my country for the upcoming celebration. I would be happy to make a variety of samosas, which are a very popular and traditional dish in India.

A vegetarian samosa is made with a potato and pea filling with Indian spices, while a non-vegetarian made with chicken and spices. It is usually prepared by rolling the flour and filled the stuff and later air-frying or deep-frying it. It has a spicy flavour and is often served with tamarind sauce. It is particularly popular because it is rich in taste and has a lot of variety of fillings.

I believe this dish should be included in the event because it represents an important part of my country's food culture. In addition, it is interesting for international students, so I think everyone would enjoy trying it. It would also allow other members to experience a different type of cuisine.

Please let me know if you would like me to prepare anything else for the event. I’m looking forward to taking part and sharing this dish with everyone.
