IELTS Writing Task 1 question

You are a member of an International Students' club. The club is organising an event to celebrate popular food from around the world.

Write a letter to the event organiser, Luis. In your letter

• offer to make a popular dish from your country
• describe what this dish is
• explain why it should be included in the event

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Dear Luis,

I hope you are doing well. I am writing a letter to say thank you for organizing such an great event to celebrate famous cuisine from around the world.

I would like to offer such an amazing dish from my state which is called Shahi Paneer. It is basically made from cheese and butter with the blend of authentic Indian spices. I have a recipe of it which I copied from our great Indian chef Sanjeev Kapoor. This dish is very popular in our country because of its flavory and creamy taste.

I believe we would definately include this popular dish in our menu to represent the Asian country. I would like the people from other country taste the Indian Cuisine and explore the authentic flavour. I hope you like my thought about this event. Please let me know if you want more knowledge regarding the dish.
