IELTS Writing Task 1 question

You are a member of an International Students' club. The club is organising an event to celebrate popular food from around the world.

Write a letter to the event organiser, Luis. In your letter

• offer to make a popular dish from your country
• describe what this dish is
• explain why it should be included in the event

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Begin your letter as follows:

Student answer (Band 6.0)

Dear Luis,

I’m a member of an International student Club and we want to make a famous dish of India that is Butter chicken at your event. The recipe is famous across various countries. Additionally, it has wide range of customers which love this food and want to try it again.

Butter Chicken comes with a variety of spices which also attract the surrounding people. Chicken can be cooked either by frying or grilling it. The aroma of this dish is very strong . First we cook the vegetables and spices together and then blend it perfectly, to give it a perfect texture . At last, we add required amount of butter to form it into a best gravy texture.

I think it should be added to event because it is not easily available food item. People will love this in the event because of its strong aroma.
