IELTS Writing Task 1 question

You are a member of an International Students' club. The club is organising an event to celebrate popular food from around the world.

Write a letter to the event organiser, Luis. In your letter

• offer to make a popular dish from your country
• describe what this dish is
• explain why it should be included in the event

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Begin your letter as follows:

Dear Luis,

I am writing this letter to inform you that an international's student club is organizing an event to celebrate famous food around the whole world on next Saturday.

Everyone is making one famous dish so I would recommend you to make Palak Paneer which is very famous and loved by everyone.

This dish mainly consist of Spinach and Homemade Cheese. It also include special ingredients like red Chili powder, coriander and many more. First the spinach is boiled for 5-10 minutes and than transfer to cold water so that gravy will become more thick and is served with fresh roti.

This dish represent the an important part of Indian culture and enjoyed by all the ages. As, I remember the dish is the very first meal which is prepare on every occasion as a good sign.
