Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

You have addressed all three bullet points in the prompt: offering to make a dish, describing it, and explaining its inclusion. The tone is appropriate for a letter to an event organiser. However, the development of your ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the description of the dish is quite brief, and the explanation of why it should be included could be expanded with more specific details about how it would enhance the event's atmosphere. To reach a higher band, ensure that each point is fully extended rather than just briefly mentioned.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The letter follows a logical structure with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a closing. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the different points. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Moreover' and 'The reason why', which help the flow of the text. However, some transitions feel a bit mechanical, and there are minor issues with referencing, such as 'This dish called' which is missing a verb. Overall, the message is easy to follow, and the progression of ideas is clear throughout the letter.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You have an adequate range of vocabulary to convey your message, such as 'participants', 'represent', and 'ingredients'. However, there are several errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'handful ingredients' (should be 'a handful of ingredients') and 'my countries tastes of the spices' (which is awkward phrasing). You also have some minor spelling errors like 'india' (should be capitalized as 'India'). To improve, focus on using more precise collocations and ensure that you are using the correct word forms in context.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors that affect the accuracy of your writing. Examples include 'ask you about to participate' (should be 'ask to participate'), 'There are variety of the dishes' (should be 'There is a variety of dishes'), and 'This dish called' (should be 'This dish is called'). Additionally, there are issues with article usage and subject-verb agreement. While these errors do not prevent communication, they occur frequently enough to impact the overall fluency of your writing.
