You are a member of an International Students' club. The club is organising an event to celebrate popular food from around the world.

Write a letter to the event organiser, Luis. In your letter

• offer to make a popular dish from your country
• describe what this dish is
• explain why it should be included in the event

Student answer (Band 6.0)

I am writing this letter to take part in the event which is organized on 5th of September.As I am from Punjab, India.There are so many dishes but I want to offer a dish which is very popular in my country and people make it on special festivals like "Diwali".

The dish is "Makki ki roti, sarso ka saag" which people make in winter nd eat it with butter. The roti made with corn flour instead of wheat. Saag is make by using many leave nd it takes around 2 hours to make on low flame. After that add onion, ginger, garlic which is good for health.

I want to add this dish in this event because I want to introduce my country by giving them India food taste with the help of this delicious dish. Hopefully, you and everyone like this dish and I want to be part of this event.
