IELTS Writing Task 1 question

You are a member of an International Students' club. The club is organising an event to celebrate popular food from around the world.

Write a letter to the event organiser, Luis. In your letter

• offer to make a popular dish from your country
• describe what this dish is
• explain why it should be included in the event

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Begin your letter as follows:

Dear Luis,

I am writing this letter to have a permission to participate an event which are related to food around the globe.

First of all, I have heard that Italian, Chinese, Punjabi dished has been included in food event. Hence, I would like to include our country favorite dish called "Biryani".

Additionally, Biryani is authentic food from our country. In which Rice, Chicken, Tomato, Potato and other spices has been included, so everyone would enjoy it. On top of that, blended yogurt will enhance it's test. it test will be mild spicy because spices are made from chilies.

The reason to add it is that, last year our annual function people enjoyed a lot and great feedback had been received. In last food festival I also insisted to include but rejected, so I would strongly recommended to you to give a chance.
