Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0

You have addressed all three bullet points of the task effectively. You offered to make a dish, described it as 'french fries with thick gravy... finished with cheese cubes', and explained its appeal by noting its popularity and unique taste. The tone is appropriate for a letter to an event organiser. To reach a higher band, ensure that your opening sentence is more concise and grammatically accurate, as the current phrasing 'present a suggestion of including' is slightly wordy and unnatural. Overall, the purpose of the letter is clear and the content is relevant to the prompt.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The letter is logically organized into clear paragraphs, each serving a specific purpose. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Moreover', 'Apart from it', and 'For this reason' to link your ideas. However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical or are used incorrectly, such as 'While, I was going through...' which is grammatically awkward and disrupts the flow. Additionally, the referencing in the second paragraph could be smoother. Improving the variety and natural placement of linking words will help your writing flow more professionally.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'renowned', 'cuisine', and 'aroma'. However, there are several instances of imprecise word choice or collocation errors, such as 'take participate' (should be 'participate'), 'informations book' (should be 'information booklet' or 'guide'), and 'speechless' (which is used incorrectly here; 'delicious' or 'exquisite' would be more appropriate). While these errors do not impede communication, they limit your ability to convey ideas with precision and sophistication.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors. Examples include 'most of people bringing' (should be 'most people are bringing'), 'in all over the world' (should be 'all over the world'), and 'its not too complicated and involve' (should be 'it is not... and involves'). Subject-verb agreement and article usage are inconsistent throughout the text. While the meaning remains clear, the frequency of these errors prevents the writing from reaching a higher band. Focusing on basic sentence construction and proofreading for verb endings will significantly improve your score.
