Dear Luis,

I hope you are doing well. As a member of international club I want you can join a event that were held later this week.

Since your organisation held various events throughout the year. I also interested to join dish contest where experienced chefs from different parts of the countries have joining I also make a Jalebi a popular dish of our country.

The sweet is simple cooked from millers in a hound shape containing with adding a vegetable oil and poured into that in round shape moreover, for sweetener I add some sugar and starch as well as natural colour for clearance.

It must be included because it is not only famous dish of country but also people like to eat dish after dinner in most of the world as well as in recent survey it conclude that Jalebi is most healthy dish as compared to other dishes.

At last, I would really appreciated if you give me a chance to join this master chef event.

Yours sincerely,

Munish.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

You have addressed all three bullet points of the task: offering to make a dish, describing it, and explaining its inclusion. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited. The description of the dish is confusing due to unclear vocabulary (e.g., 'millers', 'hound shape'), making it difficult for the reader to visualize the Jalebi. While you explain why it should be included, the reasoning relies on a vague 'recent survey' which lacks depth. To reach a higher band, ensure your descriptions are precise and your arguments are fully supported with clear, logical explanations that directly relate to the context of an international students' club event.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The letter is organized into paragraphs, which is a positive feature. However, the logical flow is frequently interrupted by grammatical errors and awkward phrasing. For example, the transition 'At last' is not the most natural way to introduce a concluding request. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'moreover' and 'not only... but also', but they are sometimes applied incorrectly or in a way that makes the sentences feel disjointed. The referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the second paragraph where the connection between the club's events and your offer to participate is somewhat abrupt.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but there are several instances where word choice is inaccurate or confusing. Terms like 'millers' (likely meant 'flour'), 'hound shape' (likely meant 'round'), and 'clearance' (likely meant 'clarity') impede the reader's understanding. While you attempt to use more specific vocabulary related to cooking, the lack of precision prevents a higher score. To improve, focus on learning the correct collocations for food preparation and ensure that the words you choose accurately reflect the meaning you intend to convey.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the letter that occasionally cause difficulty for the reader. Examples include 'I want you can join a event that were held', 'Since your organisation held... I also interested', and 'it conclude that Jalebi is most healthy dish'. These errors involve subject-verb agreement, tense usage, and missing articles. While you attempt some complex structures, they are often faulty. To improve, focus on basic sentence construction, ensuring that subjects and verbs agree and that tenses are used consistently throughout the letter.
