IELTS Writing Task 1 question

You are a member of an International Students' club. The club is organising an event to celebrate popular food from around the world.

Write a letter to the event organiser, Luis. In your letter

• offer to make a popular dish from your country
• describe what this dish is
• explain why it should be included in the event

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Dear Luis,

I am writing to infrom about my intrest in preparing an indian dish in your event. I would like to make butter chicken, which is quite popular in majority of countries

The dish came from north indian side of the country. It is pretty basic dish which does not require bunch of spices in the making. we only need chicken with onion and tomatoes along with basic spices.

The dish represents the taste of india which is liked by many people. The recipe should be included in the event, so more people can learn how they can prepare butter chicken meal in their homes. We will have a refined recipe named one pot butter chicken which does not require extensive cooking.

I will be very thankful if you allow us to represents the dish from india. I am look forward to hearing from you soon.
