You are a member of an International Students' club. The club is organising an event to celebrate popular food from around the world.

Write a letter to the event organiser, Luis. In your letter

• offer to make a popular dish from your country
• describe what this dish is
• explain why it should be included in the event

Dear Luis,

I am writing to offer to include one of the most lovable and well-known dishes called Dosa from my home country India. It's an amazing dish from South Indian states. Definitely, I assure you that this dish will be the most popular dish among all the food items from all around the world.

Basically, Dosa is made from a fermented batter of rice and lentils, with a few tablespoons of curd and a pinch of salt. It is served with a curry called Sambar, made up of a lentil-based vegetable spiced curry, and cooked with pigeon peas and tamarind broth. Its texture is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. It tastes delicious when this crepe is served with other chutneys like a coconut and a little spicy orange chutney.

A lot of benefits of eating Dosas include an improvement in gut health because it undergoes long hours of fermentation. It supplies healthy complex carbohydrates for active daily fuel needed by our body. The fermentation process lowers the glycemic index compared to unfermented refined grains, leading to a steadier insulin response.

I am very excited to present this dish at the Food Fest we have next week. I would suggest looking at the recipe and I am sure you'll love it and include into the event to everyone for to taste.
