Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
You have addressed all three bullet points in the prompt: offering to make a dish, describing it, and explaining its inclusion. The tone is appropriate for a letter to a club organizer. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the description of 'Kheer' is quite brief, and the explanation for why it should be included is repetitive. To reach a higher band, you should expand on the cultural significance of the dish or describe the sensory experience (taste/texture) in more detail to better persuade the organizer. The purpose of the letter is clear, and the response is well-focused on the task requirements.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The letter follows a logical progression, moving from the introduction to the offer, description, and justification. However, the paragraphing is insufficient; the entire body of the letter is presented as a single block of text. Using clear paragraph breaks between the introduction, the main body points, and the closing would significantly improve the structure. While you use some cohesive devices like 'Therefore' and 'as', the flow between sentences is occasionally mechanical. Improving the use of transition words and ensuring each paragraph focuses on a single clear idea would enhance the overall coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
Your vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing you to communicate your ideas clearly. You use some relevant terms like 'celebrate', 'popular', and 'delicious'. However, the range is somewhat limited and repetitive. There are minor errors in word choice and phrasing, such as 'radiant health' (which is slightly unnatural in this context) and 'my mother always prepare' (subject-verb agreement error). To improve, try to incorporate more precise adjectives and varied collocations related to food and cultural events. Expanding your vocabulary beyond basic descriptors will help you achieve a higher score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally distract the reader. Examples include 'I hope you finds' (subject-verb agreement), 'I am Aman Sharma , who is the member' (unnecessary article usage), and 'It is a sweet dish which is made with milk , rice .' (punctuation and missing conjunctions). Additionally, there are issues with article usage and verb tense consistency. While these errors do not prevent the message from being understood, they occur frequently enough to limit your score. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and consistent punctuation will help improve your accuracy.
