Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response covers all three bullet points required by the prompt, though the development of ideas is somewhat limited and informal. You successfully offered to make a dish ('can you make basan barfi'), described what it is ('related with Indian culture... very popular in India and delicious'), and explained why it should be included ('very good for the body because it provide energy'). The tone is appropriately conversational for a letter to a club organiser, but the explanation of the dish and its benefits lacks detailed elaboration, placing this performance solidly at Band 6.0 according to the criteria.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The letter lacks proper paragraphing, being presented as a single dense block of text, which negatively impacts the overall logical presentation. While some basic cohesive devices and pronouns are used ('because', 'its', 'which'), referencing is sometimes unclear or repetitive ('related with that', 'on that'). The progression of ideas is fairly easy to follow, moving from the request to the description and finally to the benefits, but the lack of clear paragraph breaks and faulty cohesion keeps this criterion at a Band 5.0.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is relatively basic and repetitive ('very popular', 'very good', 'gives more energy'). There are noticeable lexical and word-choice errors, such as 'population food' instead of 'popular food' and 'basan barfi its related with Indian culture because I am from their'. You attempt some less common items like 'delicious' and 'dry fruits', but overall the range is limited and minimally adequate for the task, resulting in a Band 5.0.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The writing relies heavily on simple and compound sentences strung together with conjunctions, with limited successful use of complex structures. There are frequent grammatical and punctuation errors throughout the text, including missing punctuation, run-on sentences ('Even i help you... recipe related with that'), and agreement or preposition errors ('on that' instead of 'in' or 'with'). These errors cause some difficulty for the reader and reflect the Band 5 descriptors.
