Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response successfully covers all bullet points of the task prompt. You addressed the letter to Luis, offered to make a popular dish from your country ('sarso ka saag and maaki di roti'), described what the dish is, and explained why it should be included in the event by mentioning its unique taste, organic spices, and its potential to attract attendees. While some ideas like economic feasibility and tourism are slightly over-generalized for a student club event, the purpose and tone of the letter remain clear and appropriate throughout. The response achieves Band 6.5 because it covers all parts of the prompt adequately, though certain supporting ideas could have been developed with more direct relevance to a student club setting.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The letter maintains a coherent overall arrangement with clear paragraphing, moving from an introductory greeting to the core proposal and concluding pleasantries. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'Moreover' and 'Not only does', though some referencing and connective choices are slightly awkward or inaccurate (e.g., 'It can be assist us in ways, the underlying factor is that, may enhances'). Paragraphing is generally handled well to separate your points, but the flow is occasionally interrupted by grammatical friction in the transitions between sentences. This performance aligns comfortably with Band 6.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You display an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, successfully attempting less common items such as 'well-renowned', 'aroma', and 'economic feasibility'. However, there are noticeable word choice and collocation errors, such as writing 'make a suggestionabout' instead of 'make a suggestion about', 'cusine' instead of 'cuisine', and 'forgeiners' instead of 'foreigners'. Additionally, phrases like 'has also own unique taste' contain grammatical and lexical slips. These inaccuracies do not impede communication, placing your lexical resource at a Band 6.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The writing includes a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating attempts at varied structures such as inversion ('Not only does saag and makki di roti popular...'). However, there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including subject-verb agreement issues ('does... popular' instead of 'is'), incorrect verb forms ('I would be feel lucky and greatful, if you accect my advice'), and punctuation/spelling slips in the sign-off ('Yours' faithfully', 'Lovepreeet kaur'). While these errors are frequent, they rarely impede the overall meaning of your letter, which corresponds to a Band 5.5.
