Write a letter to the event organiser, Luis. In your letter

• offer to make a popular dish from your country
• describe what this dish is
• explain why it should be included in the event

Dear Luis,

I am writing this regarding an event that our club is organising to celebrate popular food items from every corner of the world. As a member of the international students club I want to introduce a dish from my country.

In my country, various dishes are cooked during festivals. I would like to offer one famous sweet dish which is usually made on Ganesh day, it is known as Modak. On this day, it is served at the temples at no cost and people love to eat this delicious sweet.

This dish consists of numerous ingredients such as semolina, almonds, cashews, white flour, refined oil and some other healthy nuts. It is mostly cooked at home by the women and they make approximately one hundred of modaks to serve people at temples.

I would like to include this particular dish in the event because so many

individuals are not aware of this sweet dish, I want to introduce this because it is really healthy as it includes nuts in it and it is also presented nicely with minimal food color decoration.

I hope you will consider my food item so that people could enjoy it and taste it. Thank you for your time and consideration.
