You are a member of an International Students' club. The club is organising an event to celebrate popular food from around the world.

Write a letter to the event organiser, Luis. In your letter

• offer to make a popular dish from your country
• describe what this dish is
• explain why it should be included in the event

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Begin your letter as follows:

Dear Luis,

I am writing to provide a suggestion to the club's event, which is scheduled in next month.

As a member of the international student's club, I would like to prepare one of the popular dish from my home country, Sri Lanka. It is called "Kiribath" in Sinhalese and in English it refers as "Milk Rice".

Kiribath is one of the main traditional food prepared by mothers' in each and every houses during the Sinhala and Tamil new year, which is in April. Also, on the January 1st and every special events such as birthdays, weddings and special celebrations. The preparation process is very simple as it required only coconut milk, rice and pinch of salt. The dish is served with "chilie sambal" or chicken or fish curry.

I believe this food should included in the event, as many people are not aware our cuisine and our traditions. So I can use this opportunity to introduce this special dish to my collegues. Further, most of the dishes are Non-vegetarian. This can serve to Vegetarian students.
