Write a letter to the event organiser, Luis. In your letter

• describe what this dish is
• explain why it should be included in the event

Dear Luis,

My name is Nav and I am an International student pursuing Food and Nutrition Managment from Georgian College. Apart from this, I am also a member of the International Students's club. I am writing this letter to show my interest in upcoming event organised by our club to celebrate popular food from around the world.

I would like to prepare a very popular dish from my country (India). The name of the dish is Khichdi (porridge) and it is a national food of India which provides all essential amino-acids. Khichdi is considered as a complete protein.

To prepare Khichdi, we need lentil and rice (main ingredients), rest will be refined oil, cumin seeds, onion, green chili, tomatoes, some veggies such as peas, carrots, and cauliflower. Last ingredients will be spices as per the taste.

I would like to share our culture, food and values with other international students. Hence, I strongly believe this food needs to be included in the event. I know many people prepare porridge with different recipes. I wish everyone try indian version of porridge. I hope you will understand my sentiments with Indian food.
