You are a member of an International Students' club. The club is organising an event to celebrate popular food from around the world.

Write a letter to the event organiser, Luis. In your letter

• offer to make a popular dish from your country
• describe what this dish is
• explain why it should be included in the event

Dear Luis,

I am delighted to hear that our club is organizing an event to celebrate popular dishes from different cuisins. I am writing this letter to express my interest to devote my contribution by making delicious dish from my region which is Dhokla.

Having belonged to Gujarati community, I think dhokla would be the best dish which I can serve to people in order to introduce one of the underrated dish from Gujarat. Dhokla is made out of fermanted batter of gram-flour which is steamed instead of baked. After steaming, it is diced into bite-size pieces and decorated with mustard seeds, cumin seeds, chopped green chillies and coriender which are slightly shallow fried together which results into soft and spongy strctured dhokla which tastes little bit sour, sweet, and spicy in some corner of the mouth.

As I mentioned, this is not a well-known dish across the world. This can be considered as street food snack. By choosing dhokla, I want to share some glimps of gujarti street food. Moreover, this is gluen-free vegetarian dish, and can also be served to the vegan people. So, each and every individual can try dhokla and enjoy it.

If you would like to taste this item beforehand, please let me know without any hesitation. I would also like to ask you how many portion should be enough to serve in the event.
