You are a member of an International Students' club. The club is organising an event to celebrate popular food from around the world.

Write a letter to the event organiser, Luis. In your letter

• offer to make a popular dish from your country
• describe what this dish is
• explain why it should be included in the event

Dear Luis,

I am writing to suggest a popular dish from my country for our event next week.

Although there are various dishes from India those are well known worldwide, I would like to suggest one particular dish named as Kheer. This food is famous in every state of India. Kheer is served as dessert after dinner in my culture.

Keer is combination of milk, rice and sugar. On the top of that dry fruits are also essential part of this sweet dish. First step to prepare Kheer is to clean the rice and soak them in water for one hour. After that boil the milk and put soked rice in boiled milk then cook minimum for half an hour. Once rice become soft then need to add sugar along with chopped dry fruits and can be serve as hot or cool.

I want to include this in our event because, this dish is very easy to prepare. Additionally, to make Kheer does not need lots of ingredients, which makes this dish cheeper. Furthermore, we do not have any sweet dish in lunch so Kheer is a perfect option as dessert.
