You are a member of an International Students' club. The club is organising an event to celebrate popular food from around the world.

Write a letter to the event organiser, Luis. In your letter

• offer to make a popular dish from your country
• describe what this dish is
• explain why it should be included in the event

Dear Luis,

I am writing to offer to make a popular dish from Pakistan for the international food event.

I would like to prepare biryani, which is one of the most popular dishes in my country. It is a delicious rice dish made with basmati rice, chicken or meat, and a mixture of spices. It is usually served with salad, raita, and sometimes a spicy sauce.

I think biryani should be included in the event because it represents Pakistani culture and is enjoyed by people of all ages. It also has a rich flavour and attractive appearance, so I believe international students would enjoy trying it. Moreover, it would give students an opportunity to learn more about Pakistani food and traditions.

I would be happy to prepare the dish and explain how it is made. Please let me know if you would like me to bring anything else.
