Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You identify momo as a popular Nepali dish and offer to make it, so the central topic is relevant. You also give a reason for including it, noting that Nepali people and people in other countries enjoy it. However, the offer is not clearly addressed to Luis, and the description of the dish is very limited: the reader learns its name but not what it contains or how it is prepared. The reason for inclusion is also repeated in general terms rather than explained with specific benefits for the event. The opening contains confusing statements about inviting Luis and organising the event, which makes your purpose unclear. Develop each requested point directly and clearly to address the task more fully.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0
There is some paragraphing: you separate the initial comments, your offer to cook, and the reasons for including momo. This gives the letter a basic structure. However, ideas do not progress clearly within or between these paragraphs. For example, the opening repeats that the event celebrates international food, while the final paragraph repeats that momo is popular without adding a new point. Linking words such as “moreover” and “because” are used, but they do not always show a clear relationship between ideas. The closing, “your faithfulness,” is also separated from the main message and does not create a natural ending. Organise the letter around the three requested points and use clear links between them.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
Your vocabulary includes relevant topic words such as “dish,” “popular,” “event,” and “cook,” and the reader can identify momo as the food you want to contribute. However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are repeated, especially “popular,” “famous,” and “foods.” Some choices are unclear or unnatural, including “we are boost and generate momo foods” and “famous luise,” which make parts of the message difficult to understand. There are also spelling and word-form problems, such as “nepal” and “ideas” in “this is best ideas.” Use more precise food vocabulary and natural collocations to explain what momo is and why it would interest visitors.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt both short statements and longer sentences, but the range is limited and errors occur frequently, sometimes making the intended meaning unclear. For example, “I learnt cook momo 2 year ago” has problems with the verb pattern and time expression, while “I am going to organizing” uses an incorrect verb form. Articles and sentence structure are also often inaccurate, as in “The best dish in nepal momo” and “this is best ideas.” Capitalisation and punctuation are inconsistent, including the lowercase “i” and missing spaces after full stops. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then combine them with clear clauses using forms such as “I learned to cook” and “I would be happy to prepare.”
