Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address all three points: you offer to prepare masala dosa, describe its ingredients and accompaniment, and explain that it would let attendees learn about Indian food. The dish is specific and relevant, and the letter’s purpose is clear. However, the reason for including it is only briefly stated in “It will be great chance for everyone to know it”; explain more precisely what makes the dish distinctive or appealing to visitors. The opening also spends considerable space on club history and the event announcement, which does not develop your offer. A more direct, fuller explanation of the dish’s cultural significance or popularity would make the response more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The information follows a generally understandable order: you introduce the event, offer a dish, describe it, and close with a request. This gives the letter an overall structure. However, most of the content is placed in one long paragraph, so the offer, description, and reason are not clearly separated. Some links are awkward or mechanical, particularly “As, I am from India” and the repeated use of “This dish.” The final explanation also runs together with the preceding sentence, making the relationship between your reason and request less clear. Use two or three purposeful paragraphs and connect ideas with simple, accurate transitions to create smoother progression.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “masala dosa,” “rice flour,” “vegetables,” “spices,” and “coconut chutney,” which helps the reader understand the dish. There are also attempts at more formal language, such as “I hope you consider my request.” However, spelling and word-choice errors are noticeable and sometimes make the message harder to follow: “advisiable request,” “compitions,” “cusine,” and “repreasent” are examples. Some combinations are also unnatural, such as “huge popular” and “add flavour on it.” Build accuracy with common collocations and check spelling carefully; more precise wording will make your offer sound clearer and more natural.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, and the main message can generally be understood. However, control is inconsistent, especially in longer sentences. For example, “I got know through advertisement … about you are going to organising” combines verb patterns incorrectly, while “This dish is pure vegetarian which contain…” has problems with clause structure and subject–verb agreement. Articles and sentence boundaries also need attention, as in “As i am member” and the run-on passage beginning “This dish will serve…”. Use shorter sentences when needed, and check verb forms, agreement, articles, and punctuation. More accurate control of these patterns would make the letter easier to read.
