Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.0
You use the requested letter format and make an offer to contribute a dish, but the central details are not actually supplied. “A known dish from your country” does not name the dish or explain what it is, and the sentence asking Luis to “provide details” leaves the description for the organiser rather than giving it yourself. The reason that it could bring recognition to the dish and country is relevant, but it is only briefly stated and does not explain why this particular food suits the event. The response is also well below the required minimum length, which leaves all three bullet points substantially underdeveloped. Name a specific dish, describe its ingredients and preparation, and give a fuller reason for including it.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0
The letter has a recognisable opening, a brief central message, and a closing, so the reader can identify its general purpose. However, the ideas are compressed into one paragraph and do not progress clearly from the offer to a description and then a reason for inclusion. The shift from “I offer you to make” to instructions asking Luis to provide details is confusing, while “Moreover” and “alternatively” do not clearly connect the ideas that follow. Separate the three requested points into a logical sequence and use linking expressions only where they show the relationship between ideas. A clearer paragraph structure would make the letter easier to follow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “event,” “cuisines,” “ingredients,” and “recognition,” and the general meaning is usually understandable. However, the range is limited, and several choices are inaccurate or unnatural: “famous cuisines” is not quite the same as popular dishes, and “a known dish” is vague. There are also spelling errors such as “tou” and “ne,” and “Thankyou” should be written as two words. Choose precise food-related terms and name the dish rather than referring to it generally. For example, “traditional dish,” “signature dish,” and “raise awareness of” would express the ideas more naturally.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response relies mainly on short, simple statements, with little variety in sentence structure. Some basic patterns are understandable, such as “I am writing to inform…” and “I look forward to…,” but errors and omissions occur in the sentence forms. “Hope you are doing well” omits the subject, and “I offer you to make” uses an incorrect verb pattern; a more suitable form is “I would like to offer to prepare.” In “details about the dish how its prepared,” the clauses are not joined grammatically, and “why it should ne included” contains a faulty form. Review verb patterns, clause linking, and punctuation, then practise combining related ideas accurately.
