Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address the main purpose by offering butter chicken, describing it as a dish that is easy and inexpensive to prepare, and explaining that people may enjoy its taste. These points are relevant, and the reader can understand your basic proposal. However, the description is quite general: you do not explain what the dish contains or how it is typically served. The reason for including it—“Its indian famous dish”—is also asserted rather than developed, and the request for Luis to consider it could be clearer and more direct. To strengthen the letter, give a specific description of the dish and explain how it would add variety or represent your country at the event.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The letter has a recognisable structure: it opens with the purpose, gives information about the dish, explains why it should be included, and closes with a request. Paragraph breaks help separate these points, and connectors such as “Moreover” and “Furthermore” show an attempt to link ideas. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear, and several sentences repeat the same point about the dish being famous or tasty. Some links feel mechanical, while “It need only hour to be ready as itself and ready to serve” is difficult to follow. Organise the details in a clearer sequence—offer, ingredients and preparation, then benefits—and use references and transitions that make each connection explicit.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “popular dish,” “taste,” “cheap,” and “event,” so the basic message is understandable. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or repetitive. For example, “dish food,” “cheap in price,” and “simple cuishine” do not express the intended ideas naturally; “alot of thanks” is also unclear in this context. Spelling errors such as “cuishine” and “alot” further reduce accuracy. Build a more precise set of food-related expressions, such as naming ingredients, describing flavour, and explaining how the dish is served. Check spelling and choose natural combinations of words.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple sentences and longer sentences with reasons, as in “People will like this dish very much because of its taste.” The overall meaning can usually be followed, but grammatical errors are frequent and sometimes make individual sentences hard to interpret. Examples include “I am writing to you about add,” “I am Farvinder Singh member,” “It need only hour,” and “it should be have in event.” These show problems with verb patterns, articles, agreement, and sentence construction. Most structures are simple, and the longer attempts are not yet controlled consistently. Practise accurate patterns such as “I am writing to offer,” “It takes about an hour to prepare,” and “It should be included in the event.”
