Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address all three points: you offer to prepare biryani, describe its ingredients and cooking method, and explain that it would introduce members to Asian food. The dish is clearly identified as a popular Pakistani food, and the offer is appropriate for a letter to the organiser. However, some ideas are less fully developed than others. For example, “anyone who ever tried the dish, never disappointed” is a broad claim rather than a specific reason the dish would suit the event. You could strengthen the explanation by mentioning its distinctive taste, its popularity at celebrations, or how it represents Pakistani food culture. A little more detail about the dish would also make the description more informative.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The letter follows a generally clear order: you introduce your offer, describe biryani, explain why it belongs on the menu, and close by asking Luis to consider it. Paragraphing helps separate these functions, and the reader can follow the main message. Some connections are mechanical or unclear, however. The opening sentence beginning “As your organization is arranging…” is not joined smoothly to the next sentence, while repeated “And” and “Because” openings make the flow less controlled. The reference in “it should definitely will be on the menu” is understandable but awkward. Use clearer links such as “In addition” or “For this reason,” and connect related ideas within complete sentences to improve progression.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “popular dish,” “flavour and spices,” “layer,” and “low flame,” which helps communicate what biryani is. The range is adequate for this familiar subject, but several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or imprecise. For instance, “one of the most popular cuisine” does not fit the meaning or grammar of the phrase, and “It makes chicken kari and rice” does not clearly describe the ingredients. “Healthy option” and “balanced nutritional dish” are also asserted without precise wording. Aim for natural combinations such as “a popular Pakistani dish,” “made with chicken and rice,” and “a well-balanced meal.” Check spelling and capitalisation consistently, including “I” and “Pakistani.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more developed sentence forms, including the description of layering the ingredients and cooking them over a low flame. The overall meaning is usually recoverable, but some errors in sentence structure, agreement, articles, and verb forms reduce accuracy. “As your organization is arranging an event…” is a dependent clause presented as a complete sentence, and “it should definitely will be” combines incompatible verb forms. Other examples include “it also an healthy option” and “which enhance the flavor,” where the verb and article patterns need correction. Try writing complete sentences and checking each subject–verb pairing: for example, “It is also a healthy option” and “This enhances the flavour.” More accurate control of these patterns would make the letter easier to read.
