Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.0

You address all three points clearly: you offer to make chicken biryani, explain its ingredients and preparation, and give a reason for including it. The description of basmati rice, marinated chicken and the layered cooking method gives the organiser useful information, while the aroma and the event’s aim of making people happy support your case. Your enthusiasm is also clear. To make the ideas more fully developed, explain more specifically what makes the dish representative of your country or how it could introduce guests to its food culture. The reason that its aroma will attract people is relevant, but a little general. A more direct, polished closing request would also strengthen the letter’s purpose.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The letter has a clear overall arrangement: you make the offer first, describe the dish in the next paragraph, and explain its value to the event afterwards. Connectors such as “Moreover” and “Furthermore” help signal this progression, and the paragraphs separate the main points. Some linking is mechanical, however, and the final paragraph combines several ideas in a long sentence, making the reasoning less easy to follow. The phrase “so we can reached on our target” does not clearly connect the event’s goal to the dish. Use more natural transitions and divide the final explanation into shorter, logically connected sentences. A conventional sign-off and a brief request for Luis’s response would also make the letter’s ending feel more complete.

Lexical Resource: Band 6.0

You use an adequate range of topic vocabulary, including “flavourful,” “aromatic,” “Basmati rice,” “marinated,” “spices,” and “herbs.” These choices help the reader picture the dish, and the tone conveys enthusiasm. There are some inaccurate or unnatural choices that limit precision, such as “Chicken tenders” for the chicken used in the recipe, “curd” where “yoghurt” may be clearer to an international reader, and “Food and Beverage management” as a sign-off. Spelling and word-form slips such as “serverd” and “infront” also reduce control. Aim for natural collocations and check spelling; for example, describe the dish as “a fragrant rice dish” and say it is “served with mint sauce and yoghurt.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a relative clause in “a dish that is very popular in my country” and a sentence explaining how the chicken is prepared. However, control is limited, and errors occur often enough to make some sentences awkward or difficult to process. Examples include “rice dish that made,” “It prepared,” “they will tried,” and “Our event goal is make people happy.” There are also agreement and article problems, as in “Chicken tenders that is,” and the opening sentence contains an awkwardly repeated “that.” Practise accurate verb forms and sentence patterns: “a rice dish that is made with…” and “visitors will try different types of food.” Shorter sentences will help you maintain accuracy while still showing variety.
