Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

You address all three requested points: you offer to prepare biryani, describe it as rice with chicken and ingredients, and explain that it is popular in your country and elsewhere. The purpose of the letter is clear, and the dish’s international appeal gives a relevant reason for including it. This meets the task well, with some evidence of the fuller development expected at the next level. However, the description is brief, and the claim that “over ninty percent” like it is not explained or supported. You could develop the dish’s distinctive flavour, ingredients, or cultural significance, and make the offer more practical by mentioning how much you can prepare or what arrangements you need.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The letter has a coherent overall arrangement: you introduce your offer, describe the dish, give a reason for its inclusion, and close with a request. Paragraphing helps the reader follow these stages, and expressions such as “In addition” and “At last” signal connections between ideas. Some cohesion is mechanical or unclear, however. The repeated use of “baryani” and “dish” makes the writing feel repetitive, while the long final paragraph combines several reasons without clearly separating them. “At last” also does not naturally introduce your concluding argument. Use a wider range of linking expressions and clearer references, and divide the final explanation into shorter, more focused sentences.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

Your vocabulary is sufficient to communicate the main message, with relevant terms such as “ingredients,” “presentation,” and “International event.” However, the range is limited and several noticeable spelling and word-choice errors reduce precision, including “organsising,” “celebartion,” “thier,” and “worl.” Some phrases are also unnatural, such as “give you offer” and “some type of aroma is also add.” Repetition of “popular,” “famous,” and “dish” further restricts variety. Aim to learn accurate spellings and natural collocations as complete phrases, and choose more precise language to describe the food—for example, its fragrance, flavour, or traditional ingredients.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You communicate the main ideas using a mixture of short statements and longer sentences, including a reason introduced with “so that” and an added point beginning “In addition.” However, the range of sentence structures is limited, and attempts at longer sentences often contain errors that make the reader work to understand the relationships between ideas. Examples include “Everyone like baryani,” “some type of aroma is also add,” and the final sentence beginning “it shuold be included.” These show problems with subject–verb agreement, verb forms, and sentence construction. Practise building accurate sentences with subordinate clauses, and check agreement and verb forms before adding further details. More reliable punctuation would also help separate the ideas in the long final sentence.
