Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

You address all three points: you offer to prepare “Chicken Karhee,” identify ingredients, and explain that it is popular at home and enjoyable to eat. The offer and the reason for including it are clear, and the closing is appropriate. This meets the task well, with some elements more fully covered than others. The description focuses mainly on ingredients; a brief explanation of what the dish is like or how it is prepared would make it more informative. The claim that it is “light food that will benefit our bodies” is also quite general and would be stronger with a specific reason or example. Developing these details would make the response more complete and persuasive.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The letter follows a broadly sensible order: you introduce your offer, describe the dish, give reasons for including it, and close politely. This gives the reader a basic overall structure. However, the ideas are crowded together, with long gaps and no clear paragraph breaks, so the progression is harder to follow than it needs to be. Some links are also unclear: “I can tell you how it is cooked, but it will be on event” does not clearly connect the description to the event. Use separate paragraphs for the offer, description, and reasons, and connect ideas with straightforward transitions such as “It is usually made with…” and “I believe it would be a good choice because…”.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use relevant food vocabulary, including “ingredients,” “chicken,” “tomatoes,” “coriander,” and “tender and juicy,” which helps communicate the topic. However, the range is limited and several spelling errors or imprecise expressions make parts difficult to understand, such as “respose,” “favorit,” “taste burd,” and “paticipants.” Some phrases are also unnatural, including “most know how it cooked” and “satisfied the taste.” Check spelling carefully and choose more precise collocations. For example, you could describe the dish as “a popular, spicy chicken curry” and say that it “will appeal to a wide range of tastes.” This would make the letter clearer and more natural.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, and the reader can generally understand your main message. However, the range is limited, and errors in sentence construction and verb forms occur often enough to make some sentences difficult to follow. For example, “In my country most know how it cooked” needs a clear subject and a correctly formed passive construction, while “Its taste that will satisfied…” is missing a main verb structure and uses an incorrect verb form. There are also problems with articles and sentence boundaries. Practise building complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, such as “In my country, many people know how it is cooked.” Careful proofreading for punctuation will also help.
