Student answer (Band 6.0)
In our present era of vast advancement, it is evident that every sectors of our life are going through a characteristic change. From getting up from sleep to getting back to bed, everything that we do and utilize are subject to rapid alterations. One of those observable changes can be seen in our transportation facilities.
Though in most of the countries, cars are driven manually by drivers, some of the developed countries have already started engaging driverless transportation systems in their roads such as China, Japan, USA, South Korea etc. The concept basically involves a software on our smartphones and the car's connectivity with the software's server. Whenever a person need to call a cab or transportation service, he submits his request via the software on the phone and any available car in his area after recieving the request from its server, reaches out to the person by driving itself. The car strictly follows the built in navigation map as well as google map support to find its way to the passenger. These automated cars are programmed to maintain exact traffic rules and detect the presence of any objects infront or beside them.
According to my perspective, I think the fact that cars, buses and even trucks being driverlesss in the future, will be more advantageous than having disadvantages. As the automated cars move by programming and completely depends on its encoded commands, there is no scope of traffic rules violation and illegal parkings or unexpected stops. Moreover, the duration of the trips and distance are also calculated by the processing system which helps optimizng the service to the passengers more efficiently. Again, most of the self-driven cars being electric cars, there willbe no air and sound pollutions due to the engine and it will also save a lot of fuel.
The disadvantages may include unexpected car crashes and processor malfucntion. Moreover, engine failure may result in unfinished trips.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You give a clear answer that the advantages outweigh the disadvantages, and you identify relevant benefits such as fewer traffic-rule violations, more efficient journeys and reduced pollution. You also acknowledge risks, including crashes and processor malfunction, so both sides of the question are addressed. However, the discussion is uneven: the advantages receive several claims, while the disadvantages are listed briefly and not explained or weighed against the benefits. The opening description of how a driverless taxi service works takes up space without directly supporting your evaluation. To strengthen the response, explain how likely or serious the risks are and why the benefits remain more significant, using a specific example or evidence for each main point.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a generally clear sequence: a broad introduction, background on driverless transport, your position and supporting advantages, followed by disadvantages. Paragraphing helps distinguish these stages, and linking expressions such as “Moreover” and “Again” make relationships between points visible. However, the second paragraph’s detailed account of booking and navigation interrupts the argument’s progression, and the final paragraph is too brief to develop the opposing side. Some connections are also mechanical, particularly the repeated addition of points with “Moreover” and “Again.” Keep the focus on evaluating advantages and disadvantages, and use clearer transitions to show contrast and comparison, such as explaining directly why the risks do or do not outweigh the benefits.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of topic-related vocabulary, including “automated cars,” “navigation,” “traffic rules,” “processor” and “air and sound pollution.” There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, such as “according to my perspective” and “optimizing the service.” However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, which limits precision: “vast advancement,” “characteristic change,” “illegal parkings” and “unfinished trips” do not express the intended ideas naturally. Spelling errors such as “recieving,” “malfucntion” and “driverlesss” also reduce accuracy. Aim for conventional collocations and check spelling carefully; for example, describe “advances in technology,” “illegal parking” and “journeys disrupted by a breakdown.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentences, including a conditional-style explanation beginning “Whenever a person…” and a concession introduced by “Though.” This gives the response some structural variety, and the main ideas remain understandable. However, some errors in agreement, verb forms, articles and sentence construction affect accuracy. For example, “every sectors” should use a singular noun, “everything that we do and utilize are” has a subject–verb agreement problem, and “Whenever a person need” requires a third-person verb form. The long sentence describing the taxi request is also difficult to control. Review agreement and verb forms, and divide lengthy explanations into shorter sentences while retaining a range of structures.
