Student answer (Band 5.5)

Technological sophistication is going to give us a future, where we will able to get driverless travel facilities.Inside the vehicle , passengers will be only human. In may perspective, we will get advantages and disadvanges both but the advantages will be more than disadvanges.

One of the main advantage is saving the money and the energy. The vehicle will drive by technological process and for this reason we do not have hire any driver. In this way we can save the money. And also some people are afraid to drive the car, they think that driving requires more courage and energy. To be a good driver and getting the driving lisence, people have to gain the skills and spend some money. When the driverless transport will be available, individual can get the facilities . As a result, they can save money ,energy and can get a smooth journey without any fear.

People can face some disadvantages when they will start to get the driverless car facilities. The common problem is replace the job opportunity. Many people will be jobless who are skilled at driving and they have no other skills. They can not fullfill their familiy members need. Lack of money they can face many difficilties. Another problem is AI can take instant decision. Everything is set up from before. In the road many kinds of situation can be happened , any time emergengy can comes. AI cannot understand and take instant decision what human can do.For instance, anyone can get sick middle of the journey but everything is set-up when the vehicle will stop and where to go. This can cause any big problem.

In conclusion, although driverless transport can give us many facilities , it can bring some problemetic situation. However, i think that it is a positive development. After facing some problem, technology can bring other solution ,it will require just some time. So,the advantages is outweigh the disadvantages.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address the question and state a clear view: “the advantages will be more than disadvantages,” reinforced by your conclusion that this is “a positive development.” The response gives relevant reasons on both sides, including savings for passengers, possible job losses, and AI’s difficulty responding to unexpected emergencies. The example of a passenger becoming sick helps make the safety concern more concrete. However, some points are asserted rather than fully explained: for instance, the link between driverless travel and saving energy is not developed, and the job-loss point could explain how widespread or lasting this effect might be. Develop each main reason with a clearer explanation or example, and make the comparison between the benefits and risks more explicit.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The essay has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for advantages and disadvantages, and a conclusion. The progression from financial benefits to employment and safety concerns is easy to follow, and connectors such as “As a result,” “Another problem,” and “In conclusion” help signal relationships. This already gives the response a coherent shape. To make the organisation more flexible and precise, avoid relying on formulaic transitions such as repeated “problem” framing, and ensure each paragraph develops one central point in a clear sequence. Some links between sentences are abrupt—for example, the shift from saving money to fear of driving—and references such as “everything” in the emergency example could be made more specific.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “driverless,” “job opportunity,” “instant decision,” and “emergency.” There are also attempts at more specific expressions, such as “smooth journey” and “technological process.” However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation, and spelling errors are noticeable, sometimes making the reader pause. Examples include “technological sophistication is going to give us a future,” “driverless travel facilities,” and “replace the job opportunity”; these are not natural ways to express the intended ideas. Spelling errors such as “disadvanges,” “lisence,” and “emergengy” also weaken accuracy. Build a bank of natural topic collocations and check spelling and word forms during revision.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a conditional idea (“When the driverless transport will be available…”) and a contrast introduced by “although.” The overall meaning is generally recoverable, but control is uneven: some complex constructions are faulty, and errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries recur. For example, “we will able to get” needs a verb after “will,” while “The vehicle will drive by technological process” has an incorrect passive construction. In “the advantages is outweigh,” the subject and verb form do not agree. Review future-time clauses, passive forms, and subject–verb agreement, then proofread punctuation and spacing so sentences are easier to read.
