Student answer (Band 5.0)
It is believed by few people, that in upcoming future vechicles such as cars, buses, and trucks will have no drivers. The passengers will ne the only ones who will travel in these vechiles. According to my perspective, although this trend will have both merits and demerits
To commence with, there is one main advantage of this trend, and that invaluable merits is the safety of travelers, which may incresed.Because driverless cars would be contrilled by artifical intelligence, the chances of missappenings like road accidents will reduces to a great extent, the providing enhanced safety to passengers.
On the other hand, there are some disadvantages associated with this trend. The first and foremost is that the rate of unemployement in the country would incresed.as there are a large number of people who are employed in the driving sector, such as truck drivers who transportgoods as well as drivers carrying passengers in private and government buses. So with the introduction of driverless cars and trucks. Futhermore,it will hinder the transportation of people, since the cost of such vechileswill not be affordable to all.For example, in the uk driverless tractors have benn introduced to aid farmers in the field. However,it is also expensive for normal people to pirchase.
In conclusion, according to me,despite the safety provided by robot controlled cars ,the unemplyoment rate will rise, and such vechiles will no be affordable to many of them for owing to their cost.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You address the question by presenting safety as an advantage and unemployment and affordability as disadvantages, and your conclusion indicates that you consider the disadvantages more significant. However, the position is not fully clear in the introduction, which ends with “both merits and demerits” without stating whether the advantages outweigh the disadvantages. The ideas are relevant but remain limited and under-developed: for example, you say AI could reduce accidents, but do not explain how or support this with a specific example. The affordability point is also asserted rather than explored. The response is 27 words below the required minimum, which limits the space available to develop your reasoning. State your judgement clearly at the outset and extend each main point with explanation or evidence.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for advantages and disadvantages, and a conclusion. Linking phrases such as “On the other hand,” “Furthermore,” and “In conclusion” help signal the direction of the discussion. However, progression within paragraphs is uneven, and some connections are unclear. The sentence beginning “So with the introduction of driverless cars and trucks” is incomplete, while the example about driverless tractors appears abruptly and its relevance to vehicle affordability is not fully explained. Some transitions, including “To commence with,” feel formulaic rather than guiding a developed argument. Improve cohesion by completing each idea before moving on, explaining how examples support the point, and using clear references between sentences.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some task-relevant vocabulary, including “driverless,” “artificial intelligence,” “road accidents,” “unemployment,” and “transportation.” These terms make the main topic and arguments understandable. However, the range is limited, and frequent spelling errors or inaccurate word forms sometimes make reading difficult: examples include “vechicles,” “missappenings,” “unemployement,” and “pirchase.” Some combinations are also unnatural, such as “the safety of travelers, which may increased” and “the cost of such vehicles will not be affordable.” Aim to check spelling carefully and learn common collocations for discussing safety, employment, and cost. More precise alternatives would help you express the ideas without relying on repeated general terms such as “trend” and “vehicles.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a reason clause beginning “Because driverless cars would be controlled by artificial intelligence” and a contrast introduced by “although.” However, complex attempts are often faulty, and frequent errors affect clarity. For example, “the chances … will reduces” has incorrect verb agreement, while “the rate of unemployment … would increased” uses an incorrect verb form. The opening sentence also has an incomplete construction, and “although this trend will have both merits and demerits” is left without a completed main clause. Sentence boundaries and punctuation are inconsistent, particularly around the unfinished sentence beginning “So with the introduction.” Practise complete clauses, consistent verb forms, and accurate agreement before adding more complex structures.
