Student answer (Band 5.5)

In the era of rapid advancement of technolgy and scietific inventions, it is expected that all means of public transport will be repalced by robot driver instead of human. Although this can be frequent and safe, but I belive disadvantages outweight the advantages in form of mass unemployment and human feelings and decisions among passangers.

Admittedly, the repalcement of machines with human divers in vehicles like cars, buses and trucks will cleary benifit in formof puntuality and saving time. So all office workers will reach offices in time. As a result, there will be smooth flow of traffic on roads without traffic congestion. Further, there will be reduction in number of accidents and causalities in road as machine can keep accurate control and record of distance and speed. So consequently, all types of journey will be safer.

Nevertheless, the disadvantages of robot drivers are much more than the advantages in form of unemployment and lacks of human intimation in machines. The use of machines in all types of public transport, trucks and cars will make a large number of peolple unemployed and jobless. This will create mass poverty and low standard of living among people. Furthermore, robot can never replaced by human because they lack human capabilities, sense of feeling, taking decision based on human nature. As a bus dived by man diver can picked some elderly and ill passangers by waiting for their boarding instead of closing gates of vehice in time.

In conclusion, the disagvantages of replacing machines instead of human arem are more as it will inccresed unemployment and lacks of human intimation , so only time saving and safty can be managed by giving divers more

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You answer the question directly and maintain a clear view that the disadvantages outweigh the advantages. The response considers both sides: punctuality, smoother traffic and fewer accidents are set against unemployment and the absence of human judgement or compassion. The example of a driver waiting for elderly or ill passengers helps illustrate the latter point. However, some ideas are asserted rather than fully explained. For instance, the link between driverless vehicles and mass poverty is not developed, and the benefits are grouped together without considering when they might be limited. To strengthen the response, explain the consequences of each main point in more detail and make the comparison between the two sides more explicit.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction states your position, separate paragraphs discuss benefits and drawbacks, and a conclusion restates your view. This makes the main line of argument easy to follow. You also use signposting such as “Admittedly,” “Nevertheless,” and “Furthermore” to show relationships between ideas. At times, however, the links feel mechanical, and some sentences contain several claims without clear connections. The conclusion is difficult to follow because its final thought is unfinished, while the example about passengers would benefit from a clearer link to the point about human judgement. Use more precise referencing and ensure each paragraph develops one central idea in a clear sequence.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “mass unemployment,” “traffic congestion,” “casualties,” and “human capabilities.” These choices show an effort to discuss consequences and safety rather than relying only on basic terms. However, spelling and word-choice errors are noticeable and sometimes make the reader pause, as in “technolgy,” “repalcement,” “intimation,” and “dived” for “driven.” Some combinations are also unnatural, such as “smooth flow of traffic on roads” and “lacks of human intimation.” Aim for accurate, natural collocations and check spelling carefully. A smaller set of well-controlled expressions, such as “human oversight” and “road safety,” would make your argument clearer and more precise.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You use both simple statements and attempts at complex sentences, including a concession in “Although this can be frequent and safe” and a reason introduced by “as.” This gives the response some structural variety. However, errors in sentence construction and verb forms recur and can make parts difficult to interpret. For example, “Although …, but” combines two contrasting structures, and “robot can never replaced by human” has an incorrect verb form and unclear singular/plural agreement. The final sentence is also incomplete, and punctuation spacing is inconsistent. Practise building accurate complex sentences with one clear main clause, and check subject–verb agreement, articles, and verb forms before submitting.
