Student answer (Band 6.5)

In the upcoming years, motor vehicles will be droved automatically. The only humans who will use this cars will be the passengers as there is no need of any driver. The coming century seems to be a century of innovation. This advancement has advantages as well as disadvantages.

Buses and trucks are big sourced of transportation all over the world. The whole trade of the country is held by the trucks. As they are the only means to take heavy goods on the dry land. Further, buses are very convenient sources of transportation of local men. Mostly, office going people use the buses as a source of transportation. As in the upcoming years, all these vehicles will be driven robots or AI. This will be a lot much advantageous as there will be no more cost of any driver. Further, most of the traffic problems will be sorted as there will be a accuracy in driving these motors. In accordance, as AI is very precise so people will never be late for their work.

However, there are a few disadvantages of this automatic motor cars system. Due to this most of the people in the country will lose their jobs as driving is also a source of income for a big community of the world. Because of this people will become jobless and will not be able to manage their livings. In addition to it, if a person is sitting in a car which may have a virus in it then there would be a great risk for the life of that person. Just because of a minor problem there will be life threatening.

In accordance to my experience, would rather says that this automobile system should be used on small scales not on large ones as it would be life threatening due to some minor flaws. Further, as in the present age there are also some hybrid and automatic vehicles; Once I have seen a news on social media that a man was in a motor car which was being driven automatically and that person just fell that much comfortable that he just fell asleep. In the mean time, his car got out of control and he was completely unaware of that. due to this negligence his car struck another car and that person immediately ran out of life. For these reasons, I would say that its a disadvantage but the automatic system can be used in hotels as a waiter or as a chef because there would be no risk of life. In Japan, there are hotels where there are automatic robots serving as waiters.

In conclusion to it, I would say that everything in this world has some benefits and flaws as well. As nothing is perfect so we should use such automobile system but we do not fully rely on it as it could be life threatening.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

The response addresses all parts of the prompt, providing both advantages and disadvantages. The position is clear, though the development of ideas is somewhat uneven. For example, the argument regarding job losses is relevant, but the transition to the anecdote about a car accident is slightly disjointed and shifts the focus away from the broader societal impact of driverless vehicles. While the ideas are relevant, they could be more thoroughly extended with more sophisticated reasoning. The conclusion provides a summary, but it is somewhat repetitive in its phrasing.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas. However, the use of cohesive devices is sometimes mechanical or repetitive, such as the frequent use of 'In accordance' and 'Further'. Referencing is occasionally unclear, and some transitions between sentences feel abrupt. While the paragraphing is appropriate, the flow between the advantages and disadvantages could be smoother to better guide the reader through the argument.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it lacks the precision and variety expected at higher bands. There are several instances of awkward phrasing, such as 'big sourced of transportation', 'local men', and 'ran out of life'. The student attempts to use some topic-specific vocabulary like 'hybrid' and 'automatic', but the range is limited. To improve, the student should focus on more natural collocations and avoid repetitive, simplistic descriptors.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Examples include 'motor vehicles will be droved automatically' (incorrect passive voice), 'use this cars' (subject-verb agreement), and 'there will be a accuracy' (article usage). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage. While the meaning is generally understandable, the frequency of these errors prevents the writing from reaching a higher band.
