Student answer (Band 5.5)
In the future, people think that all the cars, buses and trucks will be driverless the only people inside the vehicle will be passanger i think in future the advantages of driverless vehicle outweigh the disadvantages because they can improve road safety and clearence and make transport more convenient although their are some challanges too. Now the world is moving to artificial intellegence so the world driving system is converting into driverless vehicle the most important advantage is that it significantally reduce road safety and the traffic incident that happens under the influence of alchol while driving ,speeding and driving with drowsiness will be minimized. So these driverless vehicle used advanced software and technology like aritificial intellegence so these software are advanced and detect obstacles and that keeps the journey safer and more comfortable by using these kind of software we can save thousands of lives every year those who got affected by accidents occurs due to human error . prons and corns comes together so if we think about the disadvantages the most biggest was unemployment the peoples that are driver by profession will become jobless and they cannot fee heir family well. the government should have to hire those jobless people and should hire them in some other work. i have experienced one of my close family member was disable and always find hard to take some with himself to drive his car so that type of people that are disabled shouldnot have to rely on other,s so in future the advantages if driverless vehicles outweigh the disadvantages.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by discussing both advantages and disadvantages, ultimately taking a clear position. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention road safety and unemployment, the arguments lack depth and specific supporting evidence. For instance, the point about unemployment is introduced but not fully explored in terms of long-term economic impact. The structure is also hindered by a lack of clear paragraphing, which makes it difficult to follow the progression of your argument. To improve, ensure each main idea is developed with a clear topic sentence and sufficient supporting detail, and use distinct paragraphs for each main point.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay lacks paragraphing, which is a significant issue for coherence. The text is presented as a single block, making it difficult for the reader to identify the transition between the introduction, body arguments, and conclusion. While you use some cohesive devices like 'although' and 'so', their usage is often repetitive or mechanically applied. The flow of ideas is sometimes disjointed, particularly when moving from the discussion of safety to the mention of unemployment. To reach a higher band, you must use clear paragraph breaks and a wider variety of linking words to connect your ideas logically.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but there are frequent spelling errors such as 'passanger', 'intellegence', 'significantally', 'alchol', and 'prons and corns' (likely intended as 'pros and cons'). These errors are noticeable and occasionally distract the reader. You rely on basic vocabulary, and while you attempt to use some topic-specific terms like 'artificial intelligence', the overall range is limited. To improve, focus on mastering the spelling of common academic terms and try to incorporate more precise synonyms to avoid repetition and demonstrate a broader range of vocabulary.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains frequent grammatical errors, including issues with subject-verb agreement ('there are some challanges'), punctuation (missing spaces after commas and periods), and sentence structure (run-on sentences). Many sentences are simple or contain errors that occasionally impede clarity, such as 'the most biggest was unemployment'. While you attempt some complex structures, they are often faulty. To improve, focus on basic sentence construction, ensuring each sentence has a clear subject and verb, and pay closer attention to punctuation and capitalization. Reducing the number of run-on sentences will significantly improve the readability of your work.
