Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses the topic of driverless vehicles, but the development of ideas is limited and often tangential. While you mention the convenience of cars and the role of trucks, you do not clearly argue whether the advantages outweigh the disadvantages as requested. The second paragraph focuses on current car usage rather than the future implications of driverless technology. Furthermore, the third paragraph shifts to public transport and pollution, which is only loosely connected to the prompt. To improve, ensure your main points directly answer the specific question asked and provide clear, logical support for your position throughout the essay.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organised into paragraphs, but the logical progression of ideas is frequently interrupted by unclear transitions and awkward phrasing. While you use some cohesive devices like 'To begin with', 'Secondly', and 'On the alternative side', they are often used incorrectly or do not effectively link the sentences. For example, the transition 'as consequently' is grammatically incorrect and confusing. The referencing is also weak, making it difficult for the reader to follow your argument. To improve, focus on using cohesive devices more naturally and ensure that each paragraph has a clear, singular focus that supports your overall thesis.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

Your vocabulary is generally limited and repetitive, which restricts your ability to express complex ideas. There are several instances of incorrect word choice and collocation, such as 'shuffle from one direction to another directions' and 'realise more pollution'. Additionally, there are frequent errors in word form, such as 'economically growth' instead of 'economic growth'. While the meaning is generally understandable, the lack of precision and the reliance on basic vocabulary prevent a higher score. To improve, try to learn collocations (words that naturally go together) and practice using more precise academic vocabulary related to technology and transportation.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The response contains frequent grammatical errors that often impede the flow of the text. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement, article usage (e.g., 'all the world'), and sentence structure. Many sentences are fragmented or contain run-on structures, such as 'Although some people think that they will less use their own vehicles whereas they will commute inside vehicle as travellers.' The use of complex structures is attempted but is often inaccurate, leading to confusion. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, specifically subject-verb-object patterns, and proofread your work to correct common errors in articles and pluralisation.
