Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by discussing both advantages and disadvantages of driverless vehicles. However, the development of ideas is limited and often lacks clarity. For instance, the argument regarding 'cheap price' for business owners is underdeveloped, and the points about technical issues and accidents are vague. The position is stated but not consistently maintained throughout the essay. To improve, you should provide more specific examples and elaborate on your reasoning to ensure the reader fully understands your perspective. The essay structure is present, but the content needs more depth to move beyond a basic level of task response.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate, such as 'To commence with, sharing the key benefits of given nation' and 'hence these points are enough to validate the given nation'. These phrases do not flow naturally and sometimes obscure the logical progression of your arguments. Referencing is occasionally unclear, and the transition between ideas feels abrupt. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words more naturally and ensure that each paragraph has a clear, singular focus that connects logically to the next.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary used is quite basic and repetitive, which limits your ability to express complex ideas precisely. There are several instances of word-choice errors, such as 'given nation' instead of 'given notion' or 'topic', and 'drivel' instead of 'drive'. Phrases like 'human energy' are used repeatedly but are not the most natural collocations in this context. To reach a higher band, you should aim to use a broader range of vocabulary, including less common lexical items related to technology and transportation, and pay closer attention to correct word forms and collocations.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including issues with subject-verb agreement ('Advancement in technology play'), article usage, and sentence structure. Many sentences are simple or contain errors that occasionally impede communication, such as 'It will observed that in upcoming year each automobile will be automatic'. Punctuation is also inconsistent, with spaces missing or misplaced around periods. While you attempt some complex structures, they are often faulty. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, subject-verb agreement, and consistent punctuation before attempting more complex grammatical forms.
