Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position that the advantages outweigh the disadvantages. However, the essay suffers from a significant structural issue: the first half of the text is repetitive, fragmented, and lacks depth, while the second half appears to be a separate, more coherent paragraph pasted in. The initial sections are underdeveloped and rely on personal anecdotes that are not fully explored. While the latter part of the essay provides relevant points such as safety, traffic flow, and inclusivity, the overall development is uneven. To improve, ensure that ideas are expanded upon with clear, logical explanations rather than listing short, disconnected sentences.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay lacks a logical flow. The transition between the initial fragmented thoughts and the more formal concluding paragraph is jarring, suggesting a lack of cohesive planning. While there are some attempts at linking words like 'Furthermore' and 'However', the overall structure is disjointed. Paragraphing is present but ineffective because the ideas within the paragraphs do not follow a clear, progressive argument. To achieve a higher band, you should focus on using a wider range of cohesive devices to link sentences and ensure that each paragraph has a clear central theme that supports your main argument.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The vocabulary is generally limited and repetitive. You use basic terms like 'good', 'safe', and 'transport' frequently. There are also errors in word choice and spelling, such as 'otomotic' (automatic) and 'safier' (safer). While you attempt to use some more academic vocabulary in the latter part of the essay, such as 'revolutionize', 'unprecedented', and 'infrastructure', these are inconsistent with the simpler language used elsewhere. To improve, focus on learning collocations and synonyms for common words to express your ideas with more precision and variety.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The grammar is inconsistent, with frequent errors that occasionally impede communication. There are issues with subject-verb agreement, such as 'Artificial intelligence gets improve' and 'driver can be tired'. Sentence structure is often simplistic or fragmented, and there are frequent punctuation errors, including the misuse of spaces before commas and periods. While you do attempt some complex structures in the latter part of the essay, the high frequency of basic grammatical errors throughout the text prevents a higher score. Focus on mastering basic sentence construction and proofreading for common errors like verb tense and article usage.
