Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both the advantages and disadvantages of driverless vehicles, maintaining a clear position that the benefits outweigh the drawbacks. The ideas are relevant, such as environmental impact and job displacement. However, the development of these points is somewhat superficial. For instance, the mention of Tesla and BYD is a good attempt at providing examples, but the explanation of how these relate to the future of public transport is brief. To reach a higher band, you should expand on your arguments with more detailed analysis or specific consequences rather than listing points. The conclusion effectively summarizes your stance, though it repeats some of the earlier points without adding new depth.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. You use some cohesive devices such as 'To commence with', 'Furthermore', and 'In conclusion' to signal the progression of your ideas. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly inaccurate, such as 'There are some disadvantages are also come with this technology'. Additionally, the flow between sentences is occasionally hindered by grammatical errors, which makes the progression feel a bit disjointed at times. Improving the variety and accuracy of your linking words would help the essay read more naturally.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'carbon footprint', 'road fatalities', and 'artificial intelligence'. However, there are several instances of awkward phrasing and word choice errors, such as 'make earning' instead of 'earn a living' and 'if it get applicable' instead of 'if it becomes implemented'. Some of these errors are noticeable, though they do not prevent the reader from understanding your main points. To improve, focus on learning common collocations and ensuring that your word forms (nouns, verbs, adjectives) are used correctly in context.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there is a high frequency of grammatical errors throughout. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('this development have', 'there are no one'), tense usage ('will going to be'), and missing articles. These errors are persistent and occur in almost every sentence. While the meaning remains clear, the lack of grammatical control is a significant issue. To improve, you should focus on basic sentence construction, specifically ensuring that your verbs match your subjects and that your verb tenses are used consistently and correctly.
