Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, reaching only 189 words. This significantly impacts the development of ideas. While you state your position clearly in the introduction, the arguments provided are underdeveloped. For instance, the point about 'unemployment' is mentioned but lacks sufficient explanation or logical flow. Furthermore, the essay is incomplete, ending abruptly with 'For example, health realated', which means the second body paragraph is not finished. To improve, you must ensure you fully develop each point with clear examples and complete your thoughts to meet the length requirement.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay uses basic paragraphing and some linking words like 'On the one hand' and 'On the other hand' to signal structure. However, the progression of ideas is hindered by the incomplete nature of the text. Cohesive devices are sometimes used incorrectly, such as 'One of the significant reason is', where the plural noun should follow the singular 'one of'. The referencing is occasionally unclear, and the lack of a concluding paragraph makes the overall organization feel disjointed. To improve, focus on using a wider range of cohesive devices and ensure every paragraph has a clear topic sentence and a logical conclusion.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is generally limited and repetitive. You use basic terms like 'good', 'bad', or 'uncomfortable' without much variation. There are also several errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'decreasing accident' (should be 'decreasing accidents') and 'health realated' (spelling error). While the meaning is generally understandable, the lack of precision and the presence of spelling errors limit the score. To improve, try to incorporate more topic-specific vocabulary related to technology and transportation, and pay closer attention to word forms and spelling.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The response contains a mix of simple and some attempted complex sentences, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Examples include 'One of the significant reason is' (subject-verb agreement), 'most of the smallest crime occur' (pluralization), and 'they do not fulfill there basic needs' (homophone error: 'there' instead of 'their'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with missing spaces after periods and incorrect capitalization. These errors occasionally impede the flow of reading. To improve, focus on mastering basic subject-verb agreement and proofreading for common errors like homophones and plural forms.
