Student answer (Band 5.5)
Vehicels is important for people to go anywhere easily and without wasting any time it is perdicted that there will driverless cars in future in this eassy i would not only discuss about merits demerits would also illustated in upcoming paragraphs.
However, there are some advantages of driverless vehicles in future first merit is that if the vehicles is driverless human error is zero and the accidents rate are also decreased and driverless vehicles also follow rules and regulation properly and it help to reduced traffic jams it also follow speed limits rule because ai cars do not cross speed limit and the other advantage is if the parents are busy in work ai vehicles help parents to take their children's from schools without any problem and the parents should focus properly on their work and it is also useful for handicaped people to go anywhere without any problem
Besides, the despite having some merits dmerits would not be neglected first dmerit of this statement is ai does not have any emotions if someone like children or older people give wrong command after giving the command is not change because ai follow only first command and if there is any error in ai it can put human life in danger and the other dmerit is if there is any emergency in car ai will not help people and if the driver will people so that people help passengers to escape from the car
In conclusin, althrough if the vehicles is driverless there is reduction in accident rates because human error is zero and the ai vehicles also help handicaped peoples to go anywhere easily yet if there is any error in ai it puts human life in danger because ai not have any emotions

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by discussing both advantages and disadvantages. However, the position is not clearly stated in the introduction; the writer mentions they will discuss merits and demerits but fails to explicitly state whether the advantages outweigh the disadvantages. The ideas are relevant, such as reduced human error and accessibility for handicapped individuals, but they are under-developed. The discussion on disadvantages is somewhat vague, particularly the point about 'wrong commands' and 'emotions,' which lacks clear logical support. To improve, ensure a clear position is maintained throughout and provide more concrete, well-reasoned examples to support each point.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is mechanical and often repetitive. For example, the frequent use of 'first merit,' 'the other advantage,' and 'besides' creates a somewhat list-like feel rather than a fluid argument. There is a lack of sophisticated linking words to connect ideas within and between sentences. Furthermore, the punctuation is inconsistent, with many run-on sentences that lack proper full stops, making the progression of ideas feel disjointed at times.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is limited and repetitive, relying on basic terms like 'merit,' 'demerit,' and 'problem.' There are frequent spelling errors, such as 'Vehicels,' 'perdicted,' 'eassy,' 'illustated,' and 'handicaped,' which occasionally impede readability. The student attempts to use some topic-specific vocabulary like 'human error' and 'traffic jams,' but the range is insufficient to express complex ideas with precision. To reach a higher band, the student needs to expand their vocabulary to include more academic collocations and ensure accurate spelling of common words.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay relies heavily on simple sentence structures. There are frequent grammatical errors, including subject-verb agreement issues (e.g., 'Vehicels is important,' 'accidents rate are'), missing articles, and incorrect verb forms. The lack of punctuation, particularly the absence of periods to separate independent clauses, results in many run-on sentences. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of basic grammatical errors and the lack of complex sentence structures limit the score. Focusing on sentence boundaries and basic subject-verb agreement would significantly improve the clarity of the writing.
